We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Professional (Nurse or Support Worker) to join a Glenrothes housing support service as a Deputy Service Manager.

With good link to the local area, this modest service currently provides a small number of residents with physical and sensory disabilities with the focused support they need to live as independently as possible and stay active within the community.

As a Deputy Service Manager, you will aid the Service Manager in the normal running of the service and directly supervise and manage more junior team members in the delivery of clinical and personal support, enabling and encouraging the residents to live the lives they choose in a private and respectful environment.

The service itself comes under the umbrella of a nationwide charity that is dedicated to building a more disability-inclusive society, offering supported living, therapy suite, youth centre and other social services to support the independence and well-being of individuals with all manners of disability.

This is a permanent, full-time position for a Deputy Service Manager of a supported living service.


Person specification:

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated their dedication and passion for care throughout their career.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of providing care to residents who have some manner of disability.
  • Experience of supervising and coordinating team members.
  • Evidence of professional development toward a deputy level – such as SVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care.
