Resident Involvement lead


Job Title: Resident Involvement lead
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing temporary
Hours: Can be Full Time or Part Time (18 - 36 hours)
Location: Sittingbourne , ME9

Implement the Resident Involvement Strategy, encouraging and enabling residents to influence services and improve the business.

Lead the recruitment of a diverse range of residents into resident involvement, co-creation and scrutiny opportunities.

Develop resident involvement skills, for both residents and colleagues.

To maximise the number of residents involved and the impact they make.



Responsibilities -



  • Work closely with the resident scrutiny, resident involvement and co-creation teams - and other departments - to identify opportunities for resident involvement by mapping forthcoming vacancies and new opportunities

  • In collaboration with colleagues, determine the number and range of residents needed for particular projects, panels and groups, to build a forward plan of recruitment needs

  • Work with colleagues to ensure the recruitment needs for each resident involvement role - such as skills, experience and time commitment - are identified and agreed

  • Design a recruitment plan which ensures organisation is recruiting to resident involvement opportunities in a timely way, to ensure we have the right residents, with right skills at the right time




Key skills needed:
· Experience of leading and planning successful recruitment activities for staff and/or volunteering roles
· Experience of working with residents, customers or other service users
· Experience of facilitating meetings, events and focus groups



  • Experience of designing and delivering training sessions and an understanding of learning styles

  • Experience of setting targets and monitoring outputs

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy

  • IT skills, including Microsoft Office products

  • Persuading and negotiating skills
