I’m searching for a Marketing Manager with a scientific background/interest to work for my client, a thriving innovative and collaborative life sciences and business park, named as one of six prestigious UK Life Sciences Opportunity Zones by the UK Government.

The Job

Planning and developing PR, marketing, social media, and digital comms with responsibility for my client’s reputation and brand, devising a compelling communication strategy that conveys the park’s ambition to be a world-class science park.

The ‘Guardian of the Brand’ you will have an overview of the delivery, consistency, and quality of brand messaging.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver an audience development strategy and action plan to expand my client’s profile with key stakeholders, target sector partners, potential tenants, and the broader science and technology ecosystems, increasing awareness across all channels and devising campaigns that support their commercial targets.

The Person

Will be naturally curious with a desire to develop the knowledge and skills to grow the business.

You’ll be able to demonstrate fantastic communication skills and attention to detail.

A team player, you will be used to working to tight deadlines and under pressure.

You’ll work with team members to create a broad range of messaging to engage with staff and internal and external audiences.

As the main point of contact with the park’s external PR, digital and design agencies, you will be responsible for analysing channels and reporting on performance.

You’ll also manage and nurture the development of the Digital Marketing Executive.

The skills and qualifications


  • Degree educated or holds a recognised marketing qualification
  • Significant, demonstrable experience in marketing at management level
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to write and create engaging content
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the strategic and practical delivery of a wide range of marketing techniques including, but not limited to, digital marketing, social media marketing and advertising, SEO.
  • An interest in keeping up to date with the marketplace and the ability to plan new ways to grow our customer base.
  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • Knowledge of the Google suite of products, including Google Ads, Search Console, Analytics, Data Studio etc.
  • Knowledge of Adobe
  • Knowledge of Facebook Business Manager
  • Able to work under pressure to a high standard

Experience working within a science or technology environment would be an advantage.
