Help make a tangible difference in the lives and outcomes of autistic children and those with learning disabilities.

A leading national children’s charity is looking for a dedicated Registered Psychologist to join their purpose-built, state-of-the-art Staffordshire centre, where they are committed to providing access to the services, equipment, therapies, and treatments that children need to lead an active and independent life.

As one of the largest and fastest-growing voluntary providers of specialist equipment and support, the charity is now looking for a Registered Psychologist to join the multi-disciplinary therapy provision as part of this exciting period of expansion.

As a Registered Psychologist, you will play a key role within the MDT in the delivery of an autism specialist service, providing effective assessment, diagnostic formulation, clinical intervention, and ongoing holistic support to young people – aged primarily between 4 and 11 years old, but potentially up to 25 years – and their families to promote optimal personal development and wellbeing.

The site is set within the grounds of a higher education provider, so you will also have the opportunity to utilise and contribute to ground-breaking research into neurodevelopmental conditions and the development and optimisation of new supportive therapies.

Person specification:

You must have valid registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist - any modality (Clinical, Counselling, Educational, or Forensic) will be relevant for the role.

You must have previous experience of working with autistic children and children who have learning disabilities.

Benefits:

  • Flexible start and finish times (in-line with policy)
  • Excellent collaborative working environment, within a purpose-built neurodiversity-friendly building on a university campus location
  • Free on-site parking, including free charge points for electric cars
  • Great work-life balance
  • Above statutory minimum annual leave (increasing with length of service)
  • Occupational sick pay
  • Employee health and wellbeing support - including an Employee Assistance Programme and walking and running groups
  • Social events
  • Opportunities for training, development, and support for CPD
  • Organisational pension scheme
  • And more!
