Westin Par Recruitment Experts is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to work for our innovative, dynamic and forward-thinking client, a design, manufacture and fit market leader in balcony and balustrade systems.

This is a new role created due to expansion

As the Purchasing Assistant, you will help with the purchasing of necessary materials and subsidiary items.

Duties include conducting market research, maintaining relationships with vendors, reporting and administration and helping to source the best quality materials and products at the lowest prices.

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Assistant

• Following up with suppliers
• Updating the team about any delays or problems with suppliers
• Researching new products, materials and suppliers
• Presenting cost analyses to the department
• Maintaining records of supplier contacts
• Staying up to date with industry trends
• Nurturing relationships with vendors

Experience Required for the Purchasing Assistant

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Personable with a confident manner
• Be able to be quick thinking with a flexible attitude to the role
