About the role

As an innovator in the Biotech industry, my client is experiencing huge growth.


Due to this, they require an Operations Manager who will be an integral part of their management team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading all Operational and Quality Assurance processes related to the receiving, shipping and processing of specialist biological products and associated documentation.

This is a role for an adaptable, process-driven, problem solver.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of laboratory work along with commercial acumen.

Operating under an ISO9001 Quality Management System, the role will lead QA efforts, including external and internal audits, enabling this successful company to retain Approved Suppliers status with them.

Additionally, the chosen candidate will be responsible for the laboratory and facilities.

The post-holder will have 3 direct reports initially however, as a highly successful business undergoing rapid growth, this is likely to increase and the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities is vital.

Knowledge and Experience Required

-Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Operational role
-Minimum 2 years People Management experience
-Strong understanding of ISO9001 (or equivalent) Quality Management System
-Managing complex projects
-Quality Assurance
-Achieving scale-up of an Operation
-Leading external customer audits
-Working in a laboratory
-Working in a commercial organisation

Qualifications and Training

-Degree in a biological science (or equivalent experience)
