This leading palliative care charity is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead the hospice’s inpatient unit as Ward Manager, where they are committed to providing specifically tailored and fully holistic specialist care to people with terminal or life-limiting conditions.

The hospice is well-respected and deeply rooted in the local community, and is dedicated to providing a full range of specialist palliative services within the hospice itself, in patients’ own homes, and in its wider support, education, and research activities.

As Ward Manager, you will role model excellent, compassionate and evidence-based nursing and you will lead effectively through change, developing and supporting the inpatient team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided for patients and their families.

This is a full-time (37.5h/week) Ward Manager role.

Person Specification:

• You must have valid NMC registration.
• You must also have prior experience in palliative care, in a senior role, and with mentoring others.
• It is desirable but not essential that you hold a relevant palliative care qualification.
