This leading palliative care charity is looking for a Registered Nurseor Allied Health Professional to take on a newly established role as an Education and Research Lead, building on the internal and external clinical education programmes that allow the palliative care team to provide specifically tailored and fully holistic care to people with terminal or life-limiting conditions.

The hospice is well-respected and deeply rooted in the local community, and is dedicated to providing a full range of specialist palliative services within the hospice itself, in patients’ own homes, and in its wider support, education, and research activities.

As the Education and Research Lead, you will use your expert communication skills and engaging teaching style to head the continuous development and provision of top-line palliative care education both across the charity itself and to external partner organisations, as well as (with the charity’s increasing focus on research contributions) enable team members to confidently participate in upcoming research projects.

This Education and Research Lead role is for 30 hours per week.

Person Specification:

You must have either valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse, or valid registration with the HCPC as an Allied Health Professional.

You must also have recent experience in a teaching or practice educator role, with the corresponding formal education qualification (e.g.

PGCert or NMC Teaching and Assessing qualification)

It is desirable but not essential that you hold a relevant palliative care qualification.
