Job Description

A Local Authority based in Warwickshire is looking for a temporary Head of Financial Services to join the team on an initial 6-month basis to lead the Financial Services Section in all aspects of its requirements.

The post holder will manage the day to day operation of the team ensuring accurate and timely professional financial support at all levels, including budget monitoring and budget strategy.

They will work with the Director - Finance and Procurement and other colleagues within Financial Services to ensure the Section achieves excellence in its services to its customers, both internal and external.

The successful candidate must be committed to the Local Authority's vision.

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified CCAB or Equivalent.


• Deputy Section 151 Qualified Preferred.


• Experience of managing budget preparation and closure of accounts.


• Knowledge of Local Government Finance and Housing issues.


• Experience of producing Statement of Accounts and liaising with external auditors.
