We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Nurse for the Orthopaedics & Spinal Surgical Unit to join a very successful and strong team.

Job Description

To provide nursing support to patients, families, medical, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals within the hospital, ensuring that this group of patients receives the highest standard of care and support.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• To provide efficient, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to patients at the Clinic.
• To be competent in the recognition of life threatening/ emergencies and act appropriately.
• To undertake risk assessments of both clinical care and the environment and be able to act upon the concerns.
• To organise workload in line with clinical priorities, and network and co-ordinate with specialist practitioners and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure dissemination of holistic patient care.

Skills & Experience

• Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Minimum of 2 years’ current experience within UK Hospital in Ortho/Spinal surgery Unit
• Sound and evidence-based knowledge in general nursing skills as well as Orthopaedic and Spinal surgery care.
• Orthopaedic or Spinal course qualifications preferred
