Family Support Worker needed with Oxfordshire County Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Abingdon

Duration - Initially 3 months

Hours per week - 37 hours per week (including evenings and weekends)

Salary - £18 ltd an hour

Description:

• On a rota basis including evenings and weekends.
  
  Shifts are 8.30am - 5pm or 1.30pm - 10pm


• To work with unaccompanied Children and Young People to provide support and guidance in a localised environment


• Direct work with Children, professionals and safeguarding of children


• Support unaccompanied children and young people who arrive to the establishment in both a planned and spontaneous way


• To keep accurate recordings of the work undertaken

What is required?

• An understanding of the impact of trauma, abuse, social deprivation and disadvantage on children, young people and their families


• Experience of providing services to children with specific needs


• Recognised and relevant professional qualification in children's services, or equivalent experience
