This is an exciting time to be joining our client due to an acquisition by a global company.

The business is well positioned to bring to market a new sustainable product and service offering and forecast stella business growth over the next few years.  Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic Head of Operations to support this growth, in-line with their company strategy.  The position, based in Bishop's Stortford, will report into the Engineering and Operations Director, and manage a team of up to 25 with 4 direct reports.

Job role for Head of Operations:

Highly desirable:

• Experience of managing a remote technical field team
• Experience of integrating a central operations group and a deployed technical field team to improve customer service and productivity
• Experience of improving operations within a progressive operational / manufacturing industry
• Experience of Lean based manufacturing processes
• Track record of improving safety, quality, efficiency within an operations / manufacturing setting
• Experience of improving Supply Chain operations
• Experience of leading and developing a high performing operational team
• Experience of wider business functions (sales, finance, hr) and working within a matrix to support the business strategy and to deliver company objectives
• Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team
• High levels of EQ

Required:

• HND/HNC or Engineering Degree
• Engineering / Technical background. 
• Man Magament Experieince greater than 15 employees
• Led remote teams
• Good people Manager

Desirable:

• Experience of engineering design processe
