Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a local authority who are seeking a Construction Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis, on an initial 6 month assignment.

ROLE: Construction Lawyer
LOCATION: South East England (remote working)
CONTRACT: Initial 6 months, 36 hours per week, ongoing
RATE: £45.00 to £55.00 per hour (umbrella)

Please note that this role is fully working from home.

The Role

• To handle and to progress a full caseload of Construction Law related matters through to completion


• To negotiate NEC and JCT based construction contracts and related professional services contracts (Feasibility, Design etc)


• To advise confidently on subsidy control / state aid, construction contracts, funding agreements and other issues involved in larger projects


• To provide other legislative advice when required to do so

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with at least 2 years' PQE


• It is essential for the right candidate to have experience within Construction Law matters (NEC and JCT's)


• Previous local authority working experience would be highly advantageous for this position
