Family Worker needed with Reading Borough Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Reading

Duration - initially 3 months

Hours per week - 37 hours per week

Salary - £20 ltd an hour

Description:

• To work as part of an Early Help team providing effective family support interventions


• You will provide support to a caseload of families to achieve positive outcomes


• To work with the whole family and partners to assess the needs within the household and acknowledge those of the extended family


• To deliver evidence based interventions with families including direct work with children and young people


• To adopt a key work/lead professional approach in order to develop, coordinate and deliver outcome focussed plans

What is required?

• A good general education (NVQ Level 3 - e.g.
  
  A Levels or equivalent)


• Formal training in a structured parenting programme e.g.
  
  Triple P, Incredible Years


• Substantial experience of working with children and young people


• Experience of working with families/parents/carers


• Experience in completing assessments, plans & reviews to ensure positive outcomes
