Support Worker


JOB TITLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: Oxford
CONTRACT TYPE: Temp
WEEKLY HOURS: 35 Hours
WORK PATTERN: 9 - 5 (Mon - Fri)

JOB SUMMARY:
To deliver high quality person-centred support to customers living in supported accommodation service in accordance with the Person-Centred principles, enabling clients to sustain their tenancies by promoting independence, freedom, and choice.


RESPONSABILTIES:



  • Assess referrals and engage with prospective clients using a person-centred approach.

    Key to this role will be liaising with health professionals, other agencies, and colleagues as appropriate.

    To ensure compliance with your responsibilities as laid out in the council's health and safety policy and take an active role in promoting a positive health and safety culture.

  • Ensure that prospective and current clients are fully aware of the support available, their financial obligations, rights and responsibilities under their tenancy/occupation arrangements and all related procedures.

  • Forge and maintain links with partner agencies and other key stakeholders as appropriate to ensure that good communication and co-operation is maintained.

  • Agree and review client Independent Living Plans and Risk Assessments on a regular basis, deliver contracted hours of support to achieve the required outcomes.



EXPERIENCE:



  • Ability to network and build strong relationships with partner agencies, community, and key stakeholders.

    Identify the reason for non- payment, complete income, and expenditure assessments, make fair and reasonable agreements and monitor repayments.

  • Organisational skills, including time management and ability to meet targets

  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels.

  • Ability to deal with distressed and aggressive clients.



Also, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS check.
