Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the South London region who are seeking a Locum Lawyer to join their Litigation team.

ROLE: Litigation Lawyer
LOCATION: South London (Hybrid working)
RATE: £35 top £45 per hour
CONTRACT: 35 hours per week, 3 months rolling contract

The Role

• To manage and hold a full caseload of Litigation matters from inception to completion


• Matters will predominantly be Licensing and Debt recovery files


• To ensure effective communication with external stakeholder to produce weekly file updates


• To assist more junior members of staff through legislative processes

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQE


• Previous handling of Debt Recovery and Licensing cases are essential


• Previous local authority experience would be highly desirable for this position


• Someone with the ability to work in a hybrid working style
