Work Pattern: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week (Hybrid working)

A new opportunity has become available for a Housing Assistant to be the first point of contact within a team, and provide excellent customer care to both external and internal customers.

Team Assistants are administrative experts, helping to ensure services run smoothly and solving problems as they arise.

Main tasks and duties -

  • Providing excellent customer service in person, telephone and in writing to our residents

  • Raising purchase orders, purchasing goods from retailers and coding invoices for supported housing

  • Updating and preparing documents for all aspects of housing management and ensuring they are accurately filed

  • Assisting with digitalisation programme

  • Collecting, collating and inputting data as required into various formats or reports for both internal and external monitoring

  • Being responsible for the coordination and monitoring of Business Continuity plans and enactments for all departments

  • Providing effective administrative support to the team

  • Assisting with resident involvement initiatives

Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of housing providers and support services

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Experience in delivering excellent customer care

  • Ability to deal with customers' complaints and resolve problems

  • Good problem solving skills, including the ability to use your initiative and exercise good judgment

  • A good knowledge of ICT applications (e.g.

    Word including mail merge, Excel, etc.)
