JOB TITLE: Resettlement Officer

WEEKLY HOURS: 37 Hours

WORK PATTERN: Monday - Friday, 9 - 5

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Resettlement Officer, to work with the Refugee Resettlement team and partners to promote integration of refugees and other resettled groups into the Ashford community.

This includes requires a high standard of written and verbal communication with partner agencies at all levels.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• To provide practical and emotional support to the clients in regard to their general integration into the Ashford community.


• To network with other agencies and develop professional working relationships to ensure best practice and promote improvement of the resettlement scheme offer.


• Relevant office experience / Experience of updating and managing Excel spreadsheets.

• Manage your own case load.

• Working with Housing Management/Landlord to carry out inspections and/or report and resolve any issues with properties.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least one year experience of working with migrant groups in resettlement settings or lived experience of resettlement.

• Ability to organise own workload to meet targets and deadlines.

• Experience of working in culturally diverse communities.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent including the following: Outlook, Word, Excel.

Also, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS check.
