Customer Service Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer service advisor to join the customer services team at Sandwell Council.


Your main responsibility will be to help the people of Sandwell to effectively use the service the council delivers using a variety of platforms including online services.


3 Month Contract with chance of extension.



The role



  • Take a customer focused approach to answer enquiries and requests about a wide range of services.

  • To work flexibly and as part of a team.

  • To make a positive impression on each customer.

  • Understanding and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.



Required



  • A commitment to operate in a customer focused environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people

  • Ability to effectively use IT systems is essential

  • Ability to perform solo tasks and as part of a team

  • Must be self motivated, trustworthy and reliable.




Job Type
Job Title: Customer Service Advisor
Rate of Pay: £11.64 per hour ltd rate
Hours: 37 hours a week in different shift patterns.

Monday to Friday
8-4 8.30-4.30 9-5 9.30-5.30 12-8
Location: Working on site only at the Operations and Development Centre, Oldbury
Start Date: ASAP
Contract type: Temporary for 12 weeks from start date (chance of extension)
