
Head of HR Operations
Service care Solutions are hiring for a Head of HR Operations for London Fire Brigade, it's a full time long term contract.

Hours: 35 per week
Rate: £225-£280 Per day
Contract: 3 Months initial (potential for permanent after)
Role Specification
, Act as the representative of AD People Services both within and outside the Brigade.
Deputise for the AD People Services as required.
, For the first 12-18 months in post, work closely with the AD People Services and the Leadership team to develop and implement a new operating model for the department, including the detailed design of the HR Operations team and the implementation of an HR People Partner model.
, Assume joint responsibility with People Services Leadership team for departmental performance and achievement of the organisation's strategic objectives and the effective management of risk.
Functional responsibilities
, Work with the HR Leadership Team to review of the functions of HR operations, developing and implementing an operating model that seeks to streamline processes and improve customer service.
, Oversight of all recruitment activities internally and externally for both permanent and temporary, including responsibility for LFB's temporary labour contract.
, Oversight of executive-level recruitment, ensuring effective collaboration with external agencies where appropriate and provide a high-quality service to key stakeholders
, Oversight of the HR services function, delivering end-to-end employee administration from onboarding to retirement and oversight of payroll.
, Lead the development of a dedicated HR casework function focussing on delivering high quality advice to managers and leaders on cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, and sickness absence.
, Oversee the implementation of a new HR system (procurement underway), maximising the opportunity for automation and empowerment of managers and staff.
, Ensure diversity and inclusion (D&I) is embedded throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring the team champion D&I and have a high level of knowledge and understanding within the team
, Ensure employee wellbeing is built into every people process, ensuring the team champion staff wellbeing and have a high degree of knowledge and understanding of wellbeing.
, Maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement, working with the Leadership team to identify ways in which services can be delivered more efficiently and with improved service to the customer.
Key Accountabilities:
, Provide specialist expertise to AD People Services and to the organisations Senior Leadership team and Heads of Service on effective HR Operations delivery.
, leadership of an innovative, efficient and effective HR Operations function, specifically covering a wide range of customer driven services including HR Services, recruitment, and HR casework.
, Work closely with the People Services Leadership Team to focus on continuous improvement of HR operations to support the delivery of the organisation's people priorities of leadership; development and talent; wellbeing; employee engagement and diversity and inclusion.
, Support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, value for money and organisational excellence, contributing to corporate priorities and the organisation's overall delivery aims.
