Ward Manager
An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Ward Manager to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Hatfield, Hertfordshire area.
As a Ward Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
The hospital provides care for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders or with learning disabilities who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person
As a Ward Manager your responsibilities include:
- Accepting 24 hour responsibility for the hospital wards on a rotational basis within the framework of the on call structure
- Co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment
- Participating fully with the multi-disciplinary team and undertaking direct patient care
- Managing and directing the delivery of clinical services within the ward or unit
- Providing strong and robust leadership and management in the clinical environment
- Monitoring the performance and conduct of staff and to take corrective action where required
- Promoting and safeguarding the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors
- Responsibility for working within the parameters of the service budget
- Ensuring the confidentiality, security and accuracy of data and information and compliance with Regulatory guidelines
- Maintain standards of competence as defined by the NMC

- Autistic Spectrum Disorder & Learning Disorder experience
- Experience within a leadership/management capacity
- Experience of working in a CAMHS setting
- Relevant sufficient post registration experience
- Relevant experience in a similar environment
- Proven track record of leadership and management skills
The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent annual salary of £45,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.

To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Nurse either RMN, RMNH, RNLD or RN
