Residential Care Worker needed with Cornwall Council based in Par

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Par

Duration - Initially 3 months (may be extended)

Hours per week - Various shifts, but 37 hours per week

Salary - £10.79 an hour

Description

• To provide a residential/respite care service for children/young people with learning disabilities (some who may have multiple disabilities) and emotional behavioural difficulties


• To ensure the effective delivery of the residential/respite care services on a day to day basis


• To ensure in partnership with children/young people with disabilities and their families, and/or carers that individual care plans are formulated, actioned and reviewed for each young person


• To undertake direct work with children/young people with disabilities and their families, both within the Centre and elsewhere, as required


• To undertake shift working and “sleeping in” duties as required

What is required?

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent


• Previous experience of working with children/young people up to 25 with disabilities and their families
