HR Administrator


Job Title: HR Administrator
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week
Type: 3 months - Fixed term
Location: Middlesbrough TS2 (Within the Boundaries of Tees Valley) - Primarily home-based working
Salary: £25,471 per annum

Purpose of the role -
Our client is looking to bring on HR Administrator who experienced working as a first point of contact for the People team, who is experienced and passionate in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused HR administration service.


As this is mainly a ‘home-working' role, you'll be responding to enquiries over the phone, via email and via Teams; providing advice and guidance on a range of general employment queries including recruitment and onboarding new starters; processing the front-end changes for payroll and be able to deal with queries relating policy and procedures.


Job Role -



  • Provide advice and guidance on all general employment queries, including those relating to pay and reward

  • Support the development and implementation of streamlined processes and increase the use of self-service tools

  • Collect, collate and maintain HR information and records and in line with data protection principles, and process HR transactions (contracts, payroll, recruitment etc.) in line with company policy

  • Provide support to HR meetings / HR projects as appropriate

  • Provide administration assistance to ensure the effective implementation of the Single Recognition Agreement

  • Manage and maintain personal files and associated procedures in line with data protection requirements



Candidate Requirements -



  • Previous HR administrative experience, in particular the processing of HR transactions.

  • Ability to provide advice and guidance and deliver a high quality HR administration service

  • Effective use of HRIS or similar systems as well as other IT and media as appropriate
