Assisstant Director

Job Title - Assistant Director


Hours - Full-time, 37 hpw


(Office and home-based working however you will be expected to be visible within services and attend external senior and partnership meetings approximately 2-3 days per week.)


Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 FTE per annum


An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and passionate Operational Leader to provide senior strategic and operational leadership.

As an Assistant Director, you will lead a number of operational services of interrelated public health and wellbeing commissioned services (both CCG and local authority).


As well as being accountable for leading the services within the directorate and ensuring consistent high performance across all commissioned contracts (i.e.

service deliverable, people, quality, finance) including line management responsibilities for service managers, you will be the organisational lead for the area.

This will entail chairing various groups and working alongside business development to develop, review and adapt delivery models, re/acquisition and mobilisation of new and existing contracts.


As a key member of the SMT and the Clinical Governance Group you will effectively contribute to the strategic planning, risk management and development



Essential Requirements


Leadership and Management qualification (e.g.

NVQ level 5) or willing to work towards


Significant experience of leading large public health and wellbeing programmes


Robust experience of service delivery of multiple contracts and service level agreements.


Managing organisational change and leading management of change programmes.


Leading a variety of services across geographical locations within an integrated framework of people management, learning and development, quality assurance and risk management systems, processes and controls.
