Service Care Solutions are supporting a Gambling Service in the Leeds area.

They are currently a leading National provider of advice, support, information and treatment for anyone affected by gambling.

The Community Gambling Service works closely with a wide range of people, communities and organisations across Leeds.

Job Title;


Lived Experience Lead


Key responsibilities;



  • Contributing to the development and implementing the Lived Experience programme, in partnership with the Lived Experience Development Manager

  • To provide gambling related advice, information and support to adults impacted by their own or someone else's gambling.

    Undertaking triage assessments, brief and extended interventions in a one to one and or/ group setting

  • Presenting and liaising with a wide range of stakeholder audiences to provide awareness of gambling harms and the Leeds Community Gambling Service


About the role;


The post-holder will have experience in providing advice, support or treatment in a relevant addictions, health or social care setting as well as a passion and firm understanding how to bring service users voices to the front of the service development and decision making.

The right candidate may have relevant personal lived experience or relevant work experience of working with the lived experience of others.


The service recognises the importance of having people with lived experience of gambling related harm closely involved in developing truly effective services, and the unique perspective that people with these experiences bring to our work.

We have undertaken a comprehensive internal review of the organisation's lived experience and service user involvement opportunities, structures, and processes.

From this, and in line with our wider growth, we now have an ambitious plan of work in place to take forward developments in engaging those with lived experience.

This also reflects the recommendations in relation to lived experience which underpin the current National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms.


Location - Leeds


Working hours - 35 hours per week


Type of contract - Permanent


Salary - £25,375 - £28,420
