A Crisis Coordinator/Senior Support Worker is required for an incredible new agency block booking position to work across 2 private Mental Health Nightlight Crisis Services in Ware and Watford!

Applicant must drive and have access to a vehicle

Temporary pay rate:
, Days £11.79ph ltd
, Nights & Saturdays £12ph ltd
, Sunday & Bank Holidays £13ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
, 28 HOURS PER WEEK
, Working 4 evenings (Mon-Fri) 6pm - 11pm (5h shifts)
, And 1 evening at the weekend 3pm - 11pm (8h shift)
, For an initial 3 month contract length (likelihood of extension)

Daily Duties:
You will be working across 2 Private Crisis Services that provide an out of hours space for people feeling distressed and experiencing a mental health crisis.

The aim of the service is to improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis and increase early access to help for these individuals with a view to reduce use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services.

The services are small with four beds and are a welcoming and homely space where people can come to relax, feel safe, and receive support or a listening ear and individuals can also stay over night.

Daily duties:
Providing emotional support and listening service users who may visit the Service
, Assigning work to team members, monitoring and supervising the day-to-day delivery and quality standards of the work.
, Providing professional guidance and coaching on case management
, Providing effective coaching to team members in the required technical and behavioural competencies.
, Monitoring team's performance to ensure it meets expectations and agreed performance criteria, reporting variances to the Team Leader.
, To provide monthly line management, supervision and appraisal for staff.
, To assist with the recruitment of staff contributing to their induction and professional development.
, Act as a positive role model showing professional and caring attitudes and behaviour towards other team members, service users and carers.
, Working with the Nightlight Helpline Coordinator to offer telephone support (and face to face support) to service users who are experiencing a crisis, providing guidance and signposting to appropriate services and organisations

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared for the position advertised and have previous experience in the field.
