Main duties and responsibilities:
Carry out; grass cutting, strimming and hedge cutting as and where instructed or according to the grass schedules and to the standards required.
Litter picking and clearing of paths.
Play area inspections and undertaking minor repairs.
Carry out; seasonal maintenance of flower beds/shrub beds/gardens of remembrance in the cemeteries.
Carry out; planting, weeding, digging, hoeing and watering of flower planters and formal displays as necessary.
To undertake prestart checks on vans, plant and other vehicles up to and including 3.5 tonne (B licence) classification as required in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations as stated within the operations manuals and to include the completion of daily defect sheets.
To ensure; health and safety, safe systems of work, standards, processes and housekeeping are adhered to through regular checking and cleaning of; vehicles, equipment/machinery and working sites.
Requirements:
Hold Full UK Driving Licence
Previous grounds maintenance experience, including grass cutting, spraying, weeding, hoeing and planting.
Ability to interpret work instruction and deliver/complete tasks to the appropriate standards.
Basic literacy and numeracy to understand work instructions, safety detail, and quantity specification.
An understanding of Health and Safety issue.
Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Ability to work Saturdays (especially following Bank Holiday)

This is a full time, temporary position for an initial 3 - 6 months period and the ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and experience as a Surveyor in a social housing environment.
The purpose of the role is to assist in the provision of an efficient repairs and maintenance service and the delivery of associated housing management service.
Contribute to improvements to the housing stock and delivery of associated housing services including contractor monitoring.
To carry out internal and external surveys of Housing properties and provide technical advice and support to relevant managers.
Ensure the delivery of site works in accordance within approved standards, specifications and schedules associated with WHQS and HRO.
Key responsibilities:

Take and report any defects to the housing stock and process any work relating to resolving these defects.
Identify tenant damage and unauthorised tenant alterations and provide technical assistance where required.
Post inspect work as required and ensure that it conforms to departmental and contractual standards and in full compliance with all relevant legislation, completing customer satisfaction surveys when required.
Assist in the implementation of a programme for planned improvement works and preventative maintenance.

Working 5 days out of 7, including working outside of normal working hours, you will tasked with working as a part of a team to deliver a quality service for the Environments Team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Operate heavy plant, such as tractors, roadmenders, multi-hog and other horticultural machinery.
Work safely on the live public highway, observing Traffic Management requirements at all times.
Work on a range of highways activities such as grass, verge and hedgerow cutting, small to medium patching works and other general maintenance activities.
Requirements of the job:

We are looking to offer a position for an experienced Maintenance Officer / Multi Trade Worker / handyman to work over 2 sites in Chertsey and Kingston you will be at Chertsey 4 days per week and Kingston 1 day per week.

As the Maintenance Officer you will take on all minor repairs to the building and the rooms.
These are dwellings used by Hospital staff and Key workers, much like a hotel used for overnight stays.
Typical tasks include
Carry out repairs and maintenance duties in accordance with safe operating procedures and relevant health & safety policies.

Maintain onsite facilities by repairing/replacing washers, taps, tiles, ball valves, WC seats, fuses, light bulbs, handles, locks and sealing around baths/sinks/showers.
Ensure all common parts are clear of potential hazards including those attributable to seasonal changes including external footpaths.
Keep clear air-bricks, gullies and low level guttering from blockages.
