Your main responsibility will be to drive vehicles up to and including HGV's in compliance with legal obligations and expectations for driver behavior.
The main vehicles you will drive will be refuse vehicles or mechanical sweepers.
You will work on your own or part of a team performing other cleansing duties or collecting refuse and trade waste from households and businesses.

Prepared to undertake work patterns which requires flexibility and to work on some bank holidays.
Able to carry out physically demanding work including bending, lifting, and walking for considerable periods.
Accepts medical screening and any other screening appropriate to occupational risk will be required.

A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible.
The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a civil engineering environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to carry out the supervision of civil engineering schemes, including major multidisciplinary schemes, ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with design and specification.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Ensuring that delivered works, comply with the stated specification, ensuring good workmanship, quality materials are tested as necessary to appropriate standards and ensuring that the required specifications and safety standards are met.
Monitor delivered works progress against submitted programmes, assess the accuracy of planned completion dates and suggest improvements to sequencing, co-ordination or methods where possible.
Measurement of completed works in accordance with the appropriate method of measurement, and the keeping of proper records of work done in the form of a site diary, together with details of other relevant issues or occurrences on site
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require experience of works undertaken under NEC ECC forms of contract, or the Proper Officer's representative on site for ‘section 278' works
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
Experience of undertaking pre works inspections and surveys as necessary and develop schedules of works for minor schemes such as programmes for bus stop improvements or maintenance works.
Experience of supervising other technical staff, including planning and allocating work, checking work is done to time and carrying out on-job training
