IT Service Desk Analyst

I am currently recruiting for an IT Service Desk Analyst to work in the Leicestershire area.

This role is initially for 1 month covering a long term absence of sickness but has the potential to continue longer.

The role may also require candidates to move and setup IT hardware to different sites around the area, so a valid UK driving license must be held.

Candidates will act as a first point of contact for the ICT service serving over 400 staff across all areas.

To record, respond to and resolve ICT incidents and requests.

, To log, monitor and resolve service desk calls within agreed service levels
, To install, configure and test hardware and software components.
, To undertake routine operational tasks, including completing and monitoring data backups and restores.

, To liaise with users, support services and third party suppliers.

, To carry out standard cleaning and routine maintenance procedures.


* Evidence of previous learning or training in ICT or related technical subjects

* Ability to communicate technical information effectively & clearly to staff, third party suppliers and partners

* Ability to methodically follow instructions and directions

* Knowledge and of the following software or technology products:
Windows XP/ Windows 7
MS Office
Desktop and Laptop and other main ICT components


, To always see the service through the eyes of the customer and make suggestions for improvement where appropriate
, To constantly challenge self performance and seek to find improvements
, To carry out duties efficiently and effectively
, To undertake any other reasonable tasks appropriate to the grading of the post and as required by the Team Manager
, To assist in the event of a civil emergency in any way as instructed
