Occupational Therapist – Acute and CAMHS

One of the leading Healthcare Providers is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join one of their highly respectable Hospitals located in Roehampton.

The Hospital specialises in providing various outpatient based therapy services such as individual and group based CBT, CAMHS, Adult ED, Addiction therapy, general psychiatry and many more.

They offer treatments for people that are suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues, such as stress and anxiety.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be required to provide consultation and assistance to the lead psychologist regarding the therapeutic programme on the unit.

You will also engage with the patients within the unit in helpful, therapeutic and meaningful activities.

You will also manage and co-ordinate individual treatment plans for occupational therapy and activities.

You will be providing one on one OT assessment and treatments and ensuring effective management of junior staff.

You will be expected to develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues; ensuring clinical practice is in line with statutory regulations.

Demonstrating a robust ability to work in a high intensity/risk environment is crucial as well as being able to provide excellent oral and written communication with exceptional organisational skills.

It is crucial for you to have a BSC in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.

You will need proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental Health Act.

Someone who is patient centric and committed to delivering high quality care would be perfect for this role.  Having experience in working with a specific therapy modality (CBT, DBT etc) will be advantageous.

 

To be considered for this role you must be an Occupational Therapist with a HCPC registration and have experience in mental health.
